Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was started in year 1998 when 60 students were admitted to the four year B. Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering.) Program. In the year 2000, there were 90 seats in this department which were increased to 120 in 2004. The department, being one of the founding departments of the Engineering College, is in existence since the inception of the Haryana Engineering College. All round knowledge is imparted to the students through the labs of Basic Electronics, Digital Electronics, Semiconductor Devices & Circuits, Digital Communication, Electronics Design, VHDL, Audio Visual, DSP, Visual Simulation PCB and Projects, Microwave Optical Communication, Digital Communication & MATLAB which are fully equipped with latest equipments and accessories which are not only status Labs for the undergraduate students but are comparable to research labs of any reputed research Institute.

The students are motivated to organize and participate in the academic activities under the banner of Electronics and Communication Engineering Society (TRACE). The students’ forum of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers and students chapter of Indian Society for Technical Education are vibrant with constructive adventurous technical activities.
