Mechanical Engineering Department has experienced and dynamic faculty members with specialization in Thermal Engineering, Machine Design, Composite materials, Advanced manufacturing, Industrial engineering and CAD/CAM. The department has enviable computing facilities with latest software like Pro-E. HEC has tied up with Global Talent Track Pvt. Ltd., Pune for mechanical engineering students starting from 2nd year onwards in the campus for SIEMENS training to make the ready to employable in the industry

The department is having 16 different laboratories including:

All of them are equipped with latest instruments, ultra modern facilities and state of the art infrastructure. The department has a well furnished modern workshop having various shops like machine shop, molding shop, foundry shop, welding shop, fitting shop and carpentry shop. All are furnished with latest equipments like CNC trainer, milling m/c, lathe machines, shaper, TIG and MIG welding sets etc.

Electronics & Communication Engineering

The Department has been in existence since the inception of the Haryana Engineering College in 1998 & is fully developed having an intake of more than 130 students every year. All round knowledge is imparted to students through the labs of Basic Electronics, Digital Electronics, Electrical Technology Lab, Semiconductor Devices & Circuits, Digital Communication, Electronics Design, VHDL, Audio Visual, DSP, Visual Simulation PCS and Projects, Microwave Optical Communication, Data Communication & MAT. All these labs are fully furnished with latest equipments and accessories. These labs are not just functional labs meant only for the undergraduate students, but are comparable to the labs of any reputed research institute. The department of ECE has distinction of producing engineers suitable for Ericsson, Nokia Siemens and various service providers in Telecommunication field. The students are encouraged to undergo for practical training in Embedded system, GSM & CDMA and RF technologies. ECE deptt. Recently organized and All India Conference on Recent Emergences and Scope of Electronics Architecture -2010, RESEARCH-2KX.

It is associated with societies like IETE, ISTE for active participation of faculty and students and R&D in the field of Electronics & Communication.

Instrumentation & Control Engineering

The students of this department are taught and trained to have excellence in handling and maintaining Techno savvy sophisticated modern equipments as per the requirements and demand of the process Industry. Industry standard labs have been setup in the department to impart practical knowledge of different types of advanced instrumentation for process industry. This department boasts of its students placed in Industries like Bhabha Atomic Research Center, ISRO, Refineries, Fertilizers Plants, Steel Plants, Power Plants and Cement Plants

It has 8 laboratories to train the students to be expert in Instrumentation & Control in present day automotive industry.

Department of Computer Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has stood as an epitome of excellence in technical education since inception of the College in 1998 with an intake of 60 students. The intake was increased to 120 students. The students of this department had been constantly bringing honors by securing top positions at the University level. The students are placed in Software Industry giants like Infosys, TCS, Sapient Tech, etc. COMPUTER LABORATORIES: Centre for computing facilities with 450 systems providing facilities round the clock internet access via 5 Mbps radio link. The Department is constantly refurbishing its equipments and bringing in the State-of-Art Technologies to provide the ideal technical education to meet the industry standards.

Department has Collaborated with CISCO for the setting up of CISCO Academy to train students for CCNA Certification. The students can also enhance their professional & technical skills through Online Projects with a tie up with Pearson, Hughes Net & Oracle Academies.

The students have been placed in Software Industry giants.

The curriculum prescribed by Kuruksherta University is strictly followed by the institute. We follow and practically use the pedagogy and modern techniques like Extempore, Business Plan and Games, Case studies, Mock interviews, Group discussions, Seminars, Presentations to make the study more practical and realistic. Our major emphasis is on the industry inter-face, project studies, guest lectures, interaction with experts and industrial visits.

Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities

Among many outstanding features of this prestigious, premier, pre-eminent Engineering College is the Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities. With a view to impart comprehensive education, the students of engineering are being given basic, conceptual knowledge of subsidiary subjects which can facilitate the understanding of their technical subjects and can widen the scope & range of their knowledge and skills gained through their specific prescribed curriculum..

The Department of Applied Sciences caters to the needs of all disciplines of Engineering. It provides the engineering buffs with knowledge of basic Sciences and Humanities, viz. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Communication Skills in English, etc. The Department has excellent state-of-the-art lab-facilities and is well-equipped with required & desired equipments and accessories. The members of faculty are highly qualified & competent, experienced and expert in their respective subjects.

The Department offers curricula consisting of the basic principles in these subjects so as to provide indispensable reinforcement to future Engineers. Also, the Department imparts extensive laboratory training to the students in Physics, Chemistry and Communication Skills and their applications in engineering disciplines.

In I and II semester, the students of all B. Tech branches are given the following compulsory courses.

The Department also offers Mathematics – III as Non Departmental Electives course in the III & IV semesters.

Apart from curricular assignments, the students are engaged in Extra & Co-curricular, Cultural and Sports activities throughout the year. The department runs various clubs to organize competitions in Debate and Declamation, Quiz and Paper presentation. The Department is also running a Women Cell which conducts various activities of social & intellectual import. We organize various elocutionary to explore & exploit students’ potentials for communication.
